Born and raised in Chicago, of Ecuadorian heritage, his lifelong love of music took a defining turn when he discovered the Spanish Guitar.

His passion for the Spanish guitar was sparked during a backpacking trip through Europe in 1998, when he attended his first flamenco performance at the legendary Tablao Casa Patas in Madrid, Spain. That experience captivated him, and he instantly fell in love with both flamenco and the Spanish guitar.

Since then, he has dedicated almost three decades to developing his artistry on this instrument. His extensive travels in Spain, particularly in Granada, have allowed him to immerse himself in the culture and learn from renowned maestros in various Andalusian cities.

He also received a bachelor's degree in Classical Music Performance from Northeastern Illinois University in 2007.

Today, he continues to perform concerts and private events worldwide, present educational lecture-demonstrations, and perform with renowned groups such as Guitarra Azul & Ensemble Español. In recent years, he has also devoted much of his time to creating practical, high-quality online educational content and books to help anyone unlock their musical potential and discover the joy of playing Spanish Guitar.
